Thomas Neubert, Founder and President
Thomas Neubert is a well-recognized executive with over a decade of experience in international sales and marketing in the high-tech industry. As founder and President of GBC, Mr. Neubert's responsibilities include tending to clients needs in Business Development, Venture Capital funding and developing corporate strategies.
Mr. Neubert started GBC in 1998. Since then the company has worked with more than 20 U.S. and European technology companies. Mr. Neubert has also served as an advisor to numerous start-ups and early stage companies in the Silicon Valley and abroad.
As a native German, Mr. Neubert was working for a European-based distributor when he came to the Silicon Valley in 1991, to work with Orchid Technologies, a manufacturer of graphics accelerators and multimedia add-on cards. At Orchid, he held senior marketing management positions and was exposed not only to the domestic but also the European markets, where he supported subsidiaries in France, the UK and Germany.
In 1994, Mr. Neubert built ELSA Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Germany's most innovative graphics accelerator and data communication manufacturer, ELSA AG. As ELSA Inc.'s General Manager and Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mr. Neubert and his team built ELSA's brand and establishment successfully OEM customers and national distribution channels.
Education: Originally trained with a background in electrical engineering, Mr. Neubert holds an advanced degree in Computer Engineering and Communications from the Education Center for Information Processing Professions in Paderborn, Germany and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
